What the demo keys give you
- Live odds, no contract. "Try without signup" means a public demo key or open endpoint that returns live odds with no account — the same standard applied to every row of the main table.
- A real evaluation surface. Enough to test freshness from your own servers, check the payload shape and watch how the feed behaves during a line move.
- A fair baseline. All four are measured on the same probes as every other feed, and their numbers sit in the same open dataset.
What paid access costs
A demo lets you evaluate a feed, not run a product on it. The cheapest unlimited real-time plan measured this run is FanLine Wire at $149/mo; 21 of 34 feeds publish no unlimited real-time push price at all — REST-only, metered, pre-match or quote-only, with the reason stated on the row. How to test a demo feed in an afternoon
- Measure from your own servers. Network distance dominates latency; the methodology shows how a line change is timed.
- Watch a whole day. Count reconnects and stale prices around kickoff and settle windows, not just the first minute.
- Check your books and markets. A feed fast on one league can be thin on another; the per-sportsbook pages list what each feed carries.
- Read the payload. Odds formats, suspension flags and market depth differ between vendors — the demo shows exactly what ships.
