Every vendor's comparison page finds its own product best. This one ranks all 34 feeds on one basis: independent measurements, same probe, same window.
Which odds API is fastest, cheapest and most reliable are four different answers — rarely the same provider. Below are the answers the September 2026 measurements support; every figure links to the run it comes from.

Five things to check before buying an odds API
- Line-change latency, not response time. A feed can answer in 50 ms and still serve a price that moved 20 seconds ago; the metric that matters is the time from a sportsbook's price change to that price being visible. How it is measured.
- Push, not polling. WebSocket, SSE and AMQP feeds stream every change; polled REST feeds are only as fresh as their interval allows. Both are published with the protocol labelled so like is compared with like.
- Read the metering. Unlimited here means no credits, stream-hours or message caps — plans that meter are excluded from the value ranking for exactly that reason, and their row states the basis.
- Check the tier's scope. A cheap headline price can cover only part of the vendor's book list; those rows are marked scope-limited and kept out of the ranking rather than scaled into an invented number.
- Use the demo keys. A few feeds hand you live odds before any contract — test the data from your own vantage before committing to a tier.
